FEBRUARY 18th thru APRIL 4th

  • Praise the Lord, As we enter the Lenten season, the Holy Spirit has called us into a 40-Day Consecration—a sacred time to slow down, realign, and allow God to do a deeper work in us. Our theme is “Built to Last: Stable, Secure, and Strengthened for God’s Purpose.” In this Year of Execution, God is not just moving us forward; He is strengthening our foundation. Through prayer and fasting, we are learning to live in God’s peace, rest in Him as our safe place, and grow stronger spiritually, mentally, and physically, so that what God builds in us will endure. This is a season of positioning, not perfection—making room for God to shape us from the inside out and prepare us for what lies ahead. As we consecrate together, let us remember the words of Jesus: “Some things only come through prayer and fasting.” (Mark 9:29) With Greater Love, D. Dewayne Kemp, Apostle & Visionary

FASTING NOTES

WHAT IS SPIRITUAL FASTING Spiritual fasting is an act of humbling ourselves before God. We choose to do so sacrificing our natural appetite by willingly exchanging our physical comforts to seek Him. RESULTS OF SPIRITUAL FASTING Fasting can result in a great move of God in the call for healing, revival and spiritual awakening. SCRIPTURES PRINCIPLES FOR SPIRITUAL FASTING Joel 2, Isaiah 58:1-6, Daniel 1, Matthew 6:17-18Fasting is a biblical discipline of abstaining from food and excessive activity for spiritual purposes. In Isaiah 58:1-6 the purpose of Spiritual Fasting is clearly seen. THE PURPOSE OF SPIRITUAL FASTING · To prepare us for what God has called us to do.· To conform us to the purpose and the image of God.· To separate us from the influence of the world and the carnal man.· To hear God without negative outside influence.· To spiritually detox our spirit, mind and body of worldly pleasures.· To equip us for the battle we wage against satan. WHAT SPIRITUAL FASTING IS NOT INTENDED TO DO: · Fasting is not intended to persuade God to change His mind. (Fasting helps us conform to God and not God conform to what we want).· Fasting will not make you more acceptable in God’s eye.· Fasting is not a command in Scripture. It is a Scriptural principle that yields spiritual results for those who exercise it through faith.· Fasting is not a diet plan to lose weight. Remember, the focus and result of scriptural fasting is spiritual and not natural. THE CONCEPT OF THE DANIEL FAST Scripture Reference: Daniel 1:8-14, Daniel 10:1-3The Daniel fast is an intentional discipline of suspending enjoyment through food taste or cravings. It is eating a small amount of plainly prepared food at designated times. It is an act of practicing the Daniel principles of “no pleasing bread”.
